Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Compress Image (the "Service") at caitty.com/compress-image, including the free in-browser studio and the optional paid Pro license. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Compress Image is a browser-based tool that compresses image files locally on your device. The free tier is available without registration and is subject to a daily compression limit and a per-file size cap. The Pro tier removes those limits in exchange for a one-time payment.

2. Pro License (Lifetime)

The Pro license is a one-time purchase. After payment we issue a license key tied to the email you used at checkout. This key allows you to activate Pro on the devices you actually work on.

• The license is granted for personal or business use by you (the licensee).
• You may activate the same license on multiple devices that you control.
• You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly post your license key.
• "Lifetime" means the license has no renewal date and is intended to remain valid for as long as the Service operates. It is not a guarantee that the Service will operate forever — see Section 5.

3. Free Tier

The free tier is provided as-is and may change. Limits, daily quotas, and supported formats are described on the pricing page and inside the product. The free tier is intended for individual evaluation and casual use; if your use case requires consistent bulk processing, please consider Pro.

4. Refunds

If you are not happy with Pro, email support@caitty.com within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full and deactivate the license. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Service Changes and Availability

We may update, change, or remove features of the Service at any time to fix bugs, improve quality, or respond to changes in the underlying browser platform. We will avoid changes that materially reduce the value of the Pro license. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis without a formal uptime guarantee.

In the unlikely event that the Service is permanently shut down, we will publish a notice on the homepage at least 30 days in advance.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to process content that is unlawful where you live, that infringes on the intellectual property of others, or that depicts material involving the exploitation of minors. You also agree not to attempt to bypass the daily quota for the free tier through automation, multiple devices, or other circumvention techniques.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, its source code, design, logos, and copy are the property of Compress Image and its operators. You retain all rights to the images you process — we never claim any ownership over your content, and the Service does not see it in the first place.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access if you violate these Terms, including the acceptable use rules in Section 6. If we terminate a Pro license for a reason other than violation of Section 6, we will issue a prorated refund.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
