Camera and Saved Photos

With camera permission, Lucent shows a live front or rear camera preview. Preview frames are processed on-device and are not uploaded by Lucent. Tapping Take photo captures one image and saves it to your system photo library, without shortcut icons or preview effects. The live background can be off when you take a photo. Lucent does not record video or audio.

iOS requests permission to add photos, without requesting access to your existing photo library. Android saves through the system media library; older Android versions may request storage permission. Saved images remain in Photos or your gallery after uninstalling Lucent. Your own iCloud Photos, Google Photos or other system backup settings may sync those images. Manage saved photos, sync and deletion in those services. You can revoke camera or photo permissions in system Settings; shortcuts remain usable.

Shortcuts, Preferences and Sensors

• Android apps: Lucent reads launchable app names and icons to display and open them. This list stays on your device.
• iOS shortcuts: iOS does not expose a complete installed-app list. Lucent checks a fixed catalog of supported links and lets you add websites, app links and named Apple Shortcuts. Shortcut titles, URLs and folders are stored locally, not sent to Caitty or supplied to advertising requests.
• Local settings: Layout, camera preferences, folders and any rewarded ad-free expiry are stored on your device and may be included in your operating system backup.
• Motion: The Tilt effect uses device motion locally to move icons. Lucent does not save or transmit this sensor data.

Advertising and Privacy Choices

Both versions use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform. On iOS, a labeled native ad may appear in Settings and an interstitial may appear after leaving Settings, with a minimum three-minute interval between full-screen ads. An optional completed rewarded video hides native and interstitial ads for 24 hours. All iOS camera, shortcut and display features work without watching a video. Android offers rewarded feature access, native grid ads and interstitials after search.

Google's SDK may process an IP address to estimate coarse location, device identifiers (including the advertising identifier when permitted), ad impressions and interactions, app interactions, crash information, performance and other diagnostic data. These support third-party advertising, ad measurement, analytics and SDK reliability. Device identifiers and advertising interactions may be associated with a device. Where authorized, advertising identifiers may be used to track activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.

Lucent requests updated consent information before requesting ads and displays any required regional consent form. Where available, reopen it using Settings → Ad privacy choices on iOS or the ad privacy option on Android. On iOS, Apple's tracking permission is requested only when eligible; declining does not restrict app features. You can change it in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Purchases and External Links

Android Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Lucent uses purchase status to unlock features; Caitty does not receive your payment-card details. The initial iOS version has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Opening a shortcut transfers you to the selected app, website or Apple Shortcut, whose own privacy practices apply. Any information included in a shortcut URL is delivered to that destination when you open it.

Sharing and Storage

Lucent has no Caitty account or backend and does not upload your camera images, shortcut list or motion data to Caitty. Google receives advertising and consent information as described above; Google Play handles Android purchases. This support website separately uses Google Analytics for website visits; that website analytics script is not part of the Lucent app.

Retention and Deletion

Remove shortcuts and folders inside Lucent, or uninstall the app to remove local app storage. System backups and saved photos are managed separately in your device or cloud service. Google determines retention of advertising, consent and purchase data under its policies. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to email and use it to respond; avoid sending private photos or sensitive shortcut links.

Children

Lucent is not directed to children under 13.
